The C.A.R. offers members opportunity to learn about history, the democratic process, leadership, public speaking and much, much more!

Membership in the C.A.R.

  • Builds confidence in meeting people, public speaking, leadership, etiquette, and much more
  • Trains good citizens by participation on the local, state, regional, and national levels
  • Builds a resume of activities and responsibilities


Regular society meetings offer Fraunces Tavern Society C.A.R. members opportunities to

  • learn to conduct effective meetings, including following parliamentary procedures and standard protocol
  • appreciate the responsibility and privilege to select their society officers, helping members to gain understanding of the democratic process


Society activities offer opportunities to:

  • learn about history
  • visit historical sites in the region
  • volunteer


State, regional, and national gatherings are opportunities for members to:

  • meet new people from coast to coast, many of whom become lifelong friends
  • serve as delegates and speak before groups at many levels
