Membership in the C.A.R.
- Builds confidence in meeting people, public speaking, leadership, etiquette, and much more
- Trains good citizens by participation on the local, state, regional, and national levels
- Builds a resume of activities and responsibilities
Regular society meetings offer Fraunces Tavern Society C.A.R. members opportunities to
- learn to conduct effective meetings, including following parliamentary procedures and standard protocol
- appreciate the responsibility and privilege to select their society officers, helping members to gain understanding of the democratic process
Society activities offer opportunities to:
- learn about history
- visit historical sites in the region
- volunteer
State, regional, and national gatherings are opportunities for members to:
- meet new people from coast to coast, many of whom become lifelong friends
- serve as delegates and speak before groups at many levels
